AM-TTC Alliance

The "AM-TTC Alliance" is the umbrella association of different technology transfer centers. ​The association has a range of different members representing the scientific and technical community in advanced manufacturing in Switzerland. The members of the association may be industry companies or associations, public or private research institutions as well as network or other organizations that are active in the field of advanced manufacturing and that support the ideas and activities of the AM-TTC initiative in knowledge and technology transfer.

Role of the AM-TTC Alliance
The role of the AM-TTC Alliance as the governing body of the centers is to:  
  1. Define the strategy of the AM-TTC Alliance
  2. Coordinate and connect the centers in the AM-TTC network
  3. Evaluate the applications of potential centers
  4. Grant centers membership in the AM-TTC Alliance and network
  5. Decide how to assign the ETH Board funds for the pilot phase 2019/2020
  6. Prepare funding recommendations for the SERI for the period 2021-2024
  7. Evaluate the performance of existing centers and propose measures

Board
An important body of the association is the board. According to the articles of incorporation the board consists of up to seven representatives of Swiss research institutions and up to five representives of the Swiss industry. You find the current members of the board mentioned below.

Articles of incorporation
The AM-TTC Alliance is an association under the Swiss Civil Code (Art. 60 ff. ZGB). The articles of incorporation of the association are available in German and in French. They govern the organization and activities of the association. The members of the associations can participate in the annual general meetings and influence the strategy and direction of the AM-TTC Alliance according to the rules of the articles of incorporation.

The AM-TTC initiative is a measure in the federal action plan for digitalisation in the ERI sector to promote innovation and to speed up knowledge transfer.

The ETH Board supports the AM-TTC initiative and provides funding for the establishment of first technology transfer centers in 2019/2020.
